Today, I Wept and Here’s Why

There are moments in life when tears flow not from sadness but from sheer joy and overwhelming gratitude. Today was one of those moments for me. I found myself crying tears of joy because, even in my dry season, God is providing for me in ways I could never have imagined. His goodness is evident in every aspect of my life, and I want to share this testimony with you.

God has sent help from the most unexpected places. A previous manager, who has no obligation to assist me, reaches out and provides support with projects and tasks whenever possible. This act of kindness reminds me of God's grace and how He moves people to fulfill His promises. I am eternally grateful for her help and pray that God blesses her family tenfold for her generosity. As the Bible says, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" (Luke 6:38).

I also want to express my deep gratitude to my friends and family. In my moments of anxiety and uncertainty, they have been a source of strength and support. For the past six months, not one bill has been missed or late, and I know this is only possible through the glory of God. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Their love and support have truly reflected God's provision in my life.

I must take a moment to appreciate God for blessing me with a praying mother and for supporting me as I strive to change my life and seek a closer walk with Him. Though I am far from perfect and will never claim to be, I am committed to this journey of faith. God’s promises are true, and He never lies. "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" (Numbers 23:19).

This journey has not been easy, but it has strengthened my faith and trust in God. I am reminded of the song "Excess Love" by Mercy Chinwo, which speaks to God's abundant love and faithfulness. Trusting Him in my lowest moments has brought immense blessings and favor. I am still waiting for some things in my life, but knowing that God provides for my needs gives me confidence that He will also fulfill my wants according to His will. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

To anyone reading this, I encourage you to trust God even in your lowest moments. He hears our cries and responds with love and provision. Let your tears of joy be a testament to His goodness and faithfulness. "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever" (Psalm 107:1).

Expressing gratitude is a powerful act of faith. "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). I am incredibly thankful for the people God has placed in my life, whose support has been a testament to His unwavering care.

May your faith be strengthened, and may you experience the overwhelming joy that comes from trusting in God’s promises. Remember, He is always with you, providing for you and guiding you every step of the way. "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1).
