Lord, I Don’t Want It in My Life Anymore! I Come Out of Agreement with It

Coming out of agreement is a powerful biblical step toward freedom. Learn how to renounce and denounce unhealthy patterns, break spiritual cycles, and walk forward in clarity, authority, and peace through Jesus Christ.

Freedom often begins with one honest decision. When you stop agreeing with what God never authored, you make room for clarity, healing, and forward movement.

Freedom often begins when you make a clear decision and remove your agreement with what God never authored.

There was a time in my life when it felt like the same cycles kept returning. I kept fighting the same battles and facing the same resistance, and I could not understand why I could not break free. Everything began to shift when I got honest with God and made a clear decision that I did not want those patterns in my life anymore. I asked the Lord to help me renounce, denounce, and come out of agreement with anything that was keeping me bound. When I spoke up, God moved.

God Will Help You When You Speak Up

One of the most powerful things a believer can do is come out of agreement with anything that does not align with God’s will. Sometimes we unknowingly partner with fear, anxiety, unhealthy relationships, patterns of delay, or even mindsets that oppose our progress. These agreements can become invisible chains. But when you bring them into the light and refuse to remain connected to them, the Lord responds with clarity and strength.

Renounce, Denounce, and Come Out of Agreement

Scripture teaches that the power of life and death is in the tongue. What we speak matters, because words can either reinforce bondage or declare freedom. Renouncing and denouncing is not performance. It is alignment. It is choosing to agree with God’s truth instead of repeating what has kept you stuck.

Your words matter. Coming out of agreement removes permission for what God did not assign.

See Proverbs 18:21

Here is a simple way to understand each step:

Renouncing
A personal declaration of rejection. You are saying, “I refuse to allow this in my life any longer.”
Denouncing
A clear stand against what is not of God. You are exposing it and refusing its influence.
Coming Out of Agreement
Severing partnership with lies and choosing God’s truth. You are removing consent and restoring alignment.

What Might Be Holding You Back

Take a moment to reflect. Are there patterns you keep revisiting, even when you want change. Is there an area where discouragement keeps speaking louder than faith. Often, cycles continue because agreement remains. Here are a few areas many believers may need to confront:

You may need to renounce
  • Fear and insecurity
  • Poverty mindset and constant lack
  • Toxic relationships and unhealthy attachments
  • Guilt, shame, and condemnation
  • Procrastination and lack of discipline
  • Negative family patterns and generational cycles

A Prayer of Renunciation and Freedom

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You with humility and honesty. I ask You to search my heart and reveal anything I have agreed with that does not align with Your will for my life.

I renounce every stronghold, unhealthy pattern, and repeating cycle that has kept me bound. I denounce fear, doubt, anxiety, and every lie that contradicts Your Word.

I come out of agreement with every mindset of defeat, delay, or limitation. I reject every false identity, every spiritual weight, and every voice that tells me I cannot change.

I declare that I belong to Jesus Christ. I receive Your truth, Your peace, and Your authority. Let every chain break, and let every door that was opened through agreement be closed now by the power of God.

I declare that I am free, whole, and established in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Walking in Freedom

After you renounce and come out of agreement, you must fill that space with truth. Stay in the Word. Keep your prayer life consistent. Choose faith filled actions that match what you declared. Surround yourself with healthy spiritual community, and stay committed to what God is building in you.

A simple but powerful truth
When you speak up with clarity and agreement with God, you stop giving the enemy permission to repeat the same cycle.
Your breakthrough is not only on the other side of prayer. It is often on the other side of decision.

Reflection

What are you ready to come out of agreement with today. Name it plainly. Bring it into the light. Then replace it with God’s truth. If you are ready, speak it out and let your declaration match your desire for freedom.
