21 Days of Fasting
*We will be doing a Daniel Fast, which consists of fruits, vegetables, grains and water*
2026 is being declared as the Year of Dominion, a time for God to establish His authority in our lives, granting us spiritual confidence, victory, and the grace to steward every area He has entrusted to us. This is a year to walk in divine authority, take possession of God-given promises, and reign through Christ over circumstances that once sought to rule us.
Genesis 1:28 declares, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion…’”
In 2026, we step boldly into alignment with heavens mandate by exercising faith and obedience, knowing that true dominion flows from our position in Christ not our own strength. This is the year to rise, rule wisely, and walk fully in God’s purpose.
As part of this consecration, we will observe a Daniel Fast, based on Daniel 1:8–16, during which participants are encouraged to consume fruits, vegetables, grains, and water. To help you along the way, I will email prayer points to help you stay connected and supported.
-
The Daniel Fast begins at 12 am on January 5th and continues through the end of service on January 25th, from 12:00AM to 4:00PM daily
Consult your physician before participating in the fast.
For 21 days, we will fast and pray consistently.
Read and meditate on the Word of God at least three times per day: at 7:00 AM, 12:00 noon, 6:00 PM.
Have family devotion each day.
Be in attendance (your dedicated place of worship) during the fast. If you do not have a church home, listen to your favorite Prophet, Pastor, Minster etc. – take communion on Sunday, January 25th at home. I have a video on my page related to taking a communion at home. You can order our prefilled communion fellowship cups on Amazon.
Abstain from TV and radio, with the exception of Christian broadcasts.
We encourage you to utilize reading materials during the fast to strengthen your faith.

FAQs
-
The Daniel Fast is a biblically based fast inspired by the prophet Daniel (Daniel 1 and Daniel 10). It is a time of spiritual consecration that focuses on prayer, humility, and seeking God through a simple, plant-based diet while abstaining from foods and activities that cause distraction or indulgence.
-
We are entering this fast to seek God intentionally, align our hearts with His will, and position ourselves for clarity, breakthrough, and spiritual authority. This year’s fast is centered on stepping into greater dominion, obedience, and divine instruction.
-
This is a 21-day fast, beginning January 5, 2026 at 12:00 AM and continuing for 21 consecutive days.
-
No. While 12:00 AM – 4:00 PM is the preferred schedule, you may choose:
12:00 AM – 12:00 PM
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Or another consistent schedule that fits your responsibilities
The most important element is consistency and intentionality.
-

Your provided Daniel Fast menu should be followed as the main guide.

-
Yes. If you have medical conditions, are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications, you are encouraged to consult your doctor and modify the fast as needed. God honors wisdom and obedience, not harm to your body.
-
There is no condemnation. If you need to stop or adjust:
Pray
Reset
Continue in another way (such as media fasting or specific sacrifices)
What matters is a sincere heart, not perfection.
-
Traditionally, caffeine is avoided during the Daniel Fast. However, if you must wean off for health reasons, do so gradually and prayerfully.
-
Yes, you are encouraged to limit or abstain from:
Social media
Entertainment
Television
Other distractions that compete with prayer time
Replace these with worship, Scripture reading, and quiet reflection.
-
There is no set time requirement, but you are encouraged to:
Pray daily
Spend intentional time in God’s Word
Journal what the Holy Spirit reveals
Even short, focused moments are powerful when done consistently.
-
Do not quit. Simply:
Repent
Reset
Continue the fast
God values a repentant and determined heart.
-
Yes, spiritual resistance, emotional sensitivity, or physical fatigue can occur. These are often signs of spiritual refinement. Stay prayerful, hydrated, and grounded in Scripture.
-
Children and teens may participate in a modified version of the fast with parental guidance. Focus more on prayer, Scripture, and limiting distractions rather than strict dietary rules.
-
Yes. If the Holy Spirit leads you to continue for an additional day or more, follow His guidance with wisdom.
-
Break the fast gently:
Start with light foods (fruits, vegetables, soups)
Avoid heavy or fried foods immediately
Pray and thank God for what He has done during the fast
-
The most important part is spiritual alignment — hearing God, obeying His voice, and drawing closer to Him. The food is a tool; the heart posture is the focus.
