Lord, I Don’t Want It in My Life Anymore! I Come Out of Agreement with It

There was a time in my life when I felt that no matter what I did, the same cycles kept reoccurring. It was like I was stuck on repeat—fighting the same battles, facing the same struggles, and wondering why I couldn’t break free. It wasn’t until I got real with God that things began to shift. I had to ask Him to help me renounce, denounce, and come out of agreement with those situations that were keeping me bound. I had to boldly declare, “Lord, I don’t want this in my life anymore!” And when I spoke up, God moved.

God Will Help You When You Speak Up

One of the most powerful things a believer can do is renounce, denounce, and come out of agreement with anything that does not align with God’s will. Sometimes, we unknowingly make agreements with things that work against us—fear, doubt, anxiety, unhealthy relationships, generational curses, and even sinful habits. These agreements become chains, delaying our progress and keeping us bound. But just like God helped me break free, He will do the same for you!

Renounce, Denounce, and Come Out of Agreement

The Bible is clear that the power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). What you speak over yourself matters. When you renounce and denounce something, you are rejecting its influence and power over your life. When you come out of agreement with it, you revoke its legal right to operate in your life.

Here’s what each action means:

  • Renouncing – This is a personal declaration of rejection. It is saying, “I refuse to allow this in my life any longer.” (Example: “I renounce fear and refuse to let it control me.”)

  • Denouncing – This is a public declaration against something. It is saying, “I expose this for what it is, and I stand against it.” (Example: “I denounce the spirit of depression and reject its hold over me.”)

  • Coming Out of Agreement – This is severing ties with anything that contradicts God’s promises. It is saying, “I no longer agree with this lie, and I choose God’s truth.” (Example: “I come out of agreement with the lie that I am not enough. I accept God’s truth that I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”)

What’s Holding You Back?

Take a moment to reflect. What areas in your life have been stagnant? What patterns seem to keep repeating? Are there things you’ve unintentionally agreed with that have kept you in cycles of delay?

Here are a few things you may need to renounce today:

  • Fear and insecurity

  • Poverty mindset and financial struggle

  • Toxic relationships and soul ties

  • Guilt, shame, and condemnation

  • Procrastination and lack of discipline

  • Generational curses and negative family patterns

If any of these resonate with you, it’s time to pray boldly and break those agreements!

A Prayer of Renunciation and Freedom

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce every stronghold, negative mindset, and unhealthy pattern in my life. I denounce fear, doubt, and anything that contradicts Your Word. I come out of agreement with every lie of the enemy and embrace the truth of who You say I am. I declare that I am free, whole, and walking in my divine purpose. Every chain is broken, and every delay is removed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Walking in Freedom

Once you’ve renounced and denounced these things, you must fill the empty space with God’s Word, prayer, and faith-filled actions. Declare His promises over your life daily. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you in your spiritual growth. And most importantly, walk in the freedom you’ve declared.

I know from experience—when you speak up, God moves. You don’t have to stay stuck in the same cycles. Today is the day to take authority over your life. Stand firm and boldly say, “Lord, I don’t want it in my life anymore! I come out of agreement with it!” Your breakthrough is waiting on the other side of your declaration.

Are you ready to step into freedom? What are you renouncing today? Let’s declare it
