Judges 4 introduces us to Deborah sitting under the Palm of Deborah, where Israelites would come to her for judgment and guidance. When God instructed her to tell Barak, a military leader, to take 10,000 men and lead them into battle against Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army, Deborah didn’t just deliver the message—she went with him. Barak refused to go into battle unless Deborah was by his side, showing how much he trusted her leadership (Judges 4:8).
