Personal intention

Each person may choose a personal need, burden, decision, desire, or situation to place before the Lord during this fast.

Scripture focus

Matthew 11:28 to 30, Hebrews 4:14 to 16, Philippians 4:6 to 7, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22, Mark 11:22 to 24, John 14:13 to 14, Psalm 37:5, and Jeremiah 33:3

Goal

The goal of this fast is to make intentional room for each person to come before Jesus with a personal need. This may include a burden, unanswered prayer, family matter, health concern, financial need, decision, relationship, ministry assignment, business concern, emotional wound, spiritual struggle, or any area requiring the Lord’s help. We are not trying to control the outcome. We are surrendering the matter to Jesus, asking for His will, listening for His direction, and trusting His timing, wisdom, mercy, and power.

Fast window

Standard: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Alternate: midnight to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window.

Flow

Worship → Opening prayer → Name your personal intention before the Lord → Read the scriptures → Reflect → Main prayer → Listen for God’s instruction → Closing prayer.

FAST WINDOW

This corporate fast will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The standard fasting window is 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. If needed, you may choose an alternate fasting period of midnight to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window. Use this time to seek Jesus concerning the personal need you have placed before Him. Pray honestly, surrender the outcome, meditate on Scripture, and remain attentive to His direction.

IN ADDITION

Fast from social media, unnecessary entertainment, excess noise, gossip, complaining, and distractions unless required for work or urgent responsibility. Make room for worship, Scripture meditation, repentance, honest prayer, silence, journaling, and listening for the Lord’s instruction.

Corporate fasting tips

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Before you begin, ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify the personal matter you are bringing before Jesus. Write it clearly and honestly. Ask the Lord to purify your motives, remove fear and unbelief, and help you surrender both the need and the outcome to Him.

Daily declaration

Today, I bring my personal need to Jesus. I will not carry alone what He has invited me to place in His hands. I choose prayer over anxiety, faith over fear, surrender over control, and trust over discouragement.

Matthew 11:28 to 30

Jesus invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him and receive rest. During this fast, bring the full weight of your concern to Jesus. You do not have to hide your emotions, minimize your need, or pretend to be strong.

Hebrews 4:14 to 16

We may come boldly to the throne of grace because Jesus understands our weakness. Come with reverence, but also with confidence that mercy and grace are available for your present need.

Philippians 4:6 to 7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Jesus teaches us to have faith in God and to pray believing. Faith does not mean demanding our own outcome. It means trusting God’s power, character, wisdom, and will while bringing our request honestly before Him.

Psalm 37:5

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

What exactly am I asking Jesus to do?
Have I fully surrendered this need and its outcome to Him?
Is fear, impatience, disappointment, or unbelief influencing my prayers?
Is there any instruction from God that I have delayed obeying?

What would trusting Jesus look like after this fast ends?
Is the Lord calling me to wait, act, forgive, release, prepare, or seek wise counsel?
What did I sense the Holy Spirit highlighting during prayer?

PRAYERS

Opening prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You as I begin this fast. I dedicate this day to You and ask the Holy Spirit to lead me. Search my heart and cleanse me from every sin, wrong motive, fear, doubt, bitterness, pride, impatience, and unbelief. Cover me in the blood of Jesus and help me enter this time of prayer with honesty, humility, faith, and surrender. Lord Jesus, You already know the need that is on my heart. Today, I intentionally place it before You. My personal need is: ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ I ask You to help me pray according to Your will. Keep me from trying to control the answer or force the outcome. Give me wisdom where I need direction, peace where I feel anxious, strength where I feel weak, healing where I am wounded, and faith where I have become discouraged. Speak to me through Your Word and make my heart sensitive to Your instruction. Let this fast draw me closer to You and bring my situation into alignment with Your purpose. In Jesus name, amen.

Bring hope where disappointment has settled in my heart. Father, if there is anything in me that must change before the answer comes, reveal it. If I need to repent, help me repent. If I need to forgive, help me forgive. If I need to release something, give me courage to release it. If I need to prepare, show me how to prepare. If I need to act, make the instruction clear. If I need to wait, strengthen me to wait without fear, complaining, or unbelief. I renounce anxiety, fear, hopelessness, double mindedness, impatience, and every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. I choose to believe that You care for me. I choose to believe that You hear me. I choose to believe that Your grace is sufficient. I choose to believe that Your wisdom is greater than mine. I choose to believe that Your timing is trustworthy. Lord, I surrender my preferred outcome to You. Do not allow me to receive something that will pull me away from You. Do not allow me to remain attached to what You are asking me to release. Let Your answer produce peace, righteousness, maturity, obedience, and greater intimacy with You. Father, thank You for meeting me during this fast. Thank You for hearing every prayer, receiving every tear, and understanding every concern I placed before You.
