Note
This is not an official corporate fast. Instead, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, is being set aside as a Day of Worship & Thanksgiving. Over the past three weeks, we journeyed through Leaving the Wilderness, Crossing the Jordan, and Entering and Possessing the Promised Land. Whether God answered your prayers, strengthened your faith, revealed new direction, or drew you closer to Him, today is a day to pause and give Him thanks.
THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING
Scripture repeatedly calls God’s people to remember His faithfulness. Thanksgiving keeps our hearts humble, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that every good gift comes from the Lord.
Gratitude shifts our attention away from what we still desire and toward the many ways God has already shown His love, mercy, protection, and provision. As we give thanks, we acknowledge that God has been faithful in every season, and we trust Him to continue the work He has begun in us.

WORSHIP THROUGH THE DAY
Keep the day simple and peaceful. Play worship music while driving, working, cleaning, cooking, or resting. Let every song become an expression of gratitude for God’s goodness and faithfulness.

SCRIPTURE AND DAILY FOCUS
Daily declaration
Today, I choose thanksgiving. I will bless the Lord with all my heart and remember His goodness. I thank Him for carrying me through every wilderness, strengthening my faith, opening doors, closing doors, teaching me, protecting me, and preparing me for what lies ahead. I trust that He who began a good work in me will faithfully complete it.
Psalm 100
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Reflection
What did God teach me during the Crossing Over series?
What prayers has He answered?
How has my relationship with Christ grown?
What blessings do I need to steward faithfully?
What am I most thankful for today?
How will I continue seeking God after this journey?

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF THANKSGIVING
David blessed the Lord
Throughout the Psalms, David continually praised God for His faithfulness, protection, forgiveness, and steadfast love. Even after seasons of hardship, David chose worship over worry and thanksgiving over fear.
The one thankful leper
In Luke 17, Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one returned to thank Him. His gratitude revealed a heart that recognized not only the power of God, but also His goodness and mercy.
Thanksgiving reminder
Gratitude is more than saying thank you. It is remembering God’s faithfulness, acknowledging His hand upon our lives, and giving Him the honor He deserves.
A SIMPLE WORSHIP MOMENT
Pause several times throughout your day and pray:
Father, thank You. Thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this journey. Thank You for every lesson, every victory, and every challenge that drew me closer to You. Thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, Your protection, and Your unfailing love. Above all else, thank You for Jesus. My heart belongs to You, and I worship You because You alone are worthy. Amen.

THANK YOU
Thank You for Walking This Journey With Us
Thank you for participating in our Crossing Over Corporate Prayer & Fasting Series. Over these past three weeks, we have sought the Lord together through prayer, Scripture, worship, and fasting.
Our prayer is that your faith has been strengthened, your relationship with Christ has deepened, and your heart has been prepared for everything God has planned for your life.
Although this series has come to an end, your walk with Christ continues each day. Keep seeking Him, trusting Him, and faithfully stewarding all that He has entrusted to you.
Closing Scripture
Philippians 1:6
May the Lord continue to establish the work of your hands and lead you into every promise He has prepared.
“Today I will bless the Lord. I will remember His goodness, rejoice in His faithfulness, and worship Him with a grateful heart. I will continue walking in obedience, trusting that He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it.”
Daily declaration based on Psalm 100 and Philippians 1:6
