Father, I come to the Lord's table in repentance, faith, forgiveness, and remembrance of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, I take the bread in remembrance of Your body given for me. You are my treasure, identity, righteousness, satisfaction, and life.

Take the bread.

According to Luke 22, the cup represents the new covenant in Your blood. I reject every contrary allegiance to covetousness, greed, pride, self worship, pleasure, reputation, approval, and divided desire.

Take the cup.

I receive the cup in remembrance of Jesus Christ and proclaim His death until He comes. Jesus Christ alone is Lord over my heart.

I choose contentment over covetousness, humility over pride, obedience over self rule, holy joy over destructive pleasure, and God's approval over human praise.
