Day 4: Breaking Every Covenant With Dagon, Nisroch, False Strength, Pride, Military Power, and Trust in Human Ability

Great I Am, God of Elijah, I worship You as the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Exodus 15 declares that You are my strength and song. Psalm 20 teaches that some trust in chariots and some in horses, but I will remember the name of the Lord my God.

You are not strengthened by armies, weapons, titles, human intelligence, money, institutions, governments, technology, or physical force. All power belongs to You. You give strength to the weary, wisdom to those who ask, and victory according to Your righteous will.

According to Zechariah 4, victory is not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit. Therefore, I surrender my plans, battles, ambitions, defenses, abilities, resources, talents, titles, and limitations to You.

Dagon is not my strength. Nisroch is not my protector. Human power is not my savior. Military force is not my confidence. Jesus Christ alone is Lord over me and my household. Forgive every time I believed my intelligence, education, experience, appearance, money, influence, position, spiritual gifts, business ability, military power, legal power, political connection, or personal discipline made me untouchable or self sufficient.

Forgive every time I used strength, knowledge, authority, silence, money, position, reputation, or spiritual language to control, humiliate, intimidate, overpower, or dismiss another person.

According to James 4, You resist the proud but give grace to the humble. I humble myself before You. Remove pride from my heart and teach me to submit every ability and achievement to Jesus Christ.

Forgive every family pattern of humiliating defeated people, displaying trophies of another person's pain, celebrating another person's downfall, taking credit for victories that belonged to God, or using force to control the vulnerable.

According to Ezekiel 18, I do not accept ancestral guilt as my identity. According to Galatians 3, Christ redeemed me from the curse so that the blessing of Abraham may come through Jesus Christ.

Terminate every inherited pattern of pride, violence, domination, humiliation, retaliation, defeat, captivity, forced labor, betrayal, destructive succession, and false strength. Let humility, justice, courage, wisdom, service, and godly strength arise speedily in my family line according to Your will. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Father, I come to the Lord's table in repentance, faith, forgiveness, and remembrance of Jesus Christ. According to First Corinthians 11, Jesus took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and said to do this in remembrance of Him. I now take the bread in remembrance of the body of Jesus Christ given for me.

Take the bread.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your body given for me. By Your wounds, let healing, wholeness, humility, righteous strength, restored vision, dignity, and covenant blessing be established in every area surrendered during this prayer.

According to Luke 22, Jesus took the cup and declared that it is the new covenant in His blood. According to First Corinthians 10, I cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. I reject every cup of pride, domination, military ritual, human glory, false strength, violence, captivity, humiliation, and idolatrous victory.

Take the cup.

I receive the cup in remembrance of Jesus Christ and proclaim His death until He comes. Let the new covenant supersede every former agreement, and let every benefit of the finished work of Christ be applied speedily according to Your will.
