Corporate Fast: Set Apart for the Lord

CORPORATE FAST

Theme
Set Apart to Hear, Obey, and Walk in His Purpose
Scripture focus
Acts 13:1 through 3
Goal
The goal of this corporate fast is to seek the Lord with a surrendered heart, asking Him to set us apart for His purpose, help us hear the Holy Spirit clearly, and align our life with His perfect will.
Fast window
Standard: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Alternate: midnight to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window.
Flow
Worship → Scripture → Prayer → Fast → Decree → Reflect → Close.
FAST WINDOW
This corporate fast may be observed using the standard window of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. If needed, you may choose an alternate fasting period of midnight to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window. Use this time to minister to the Lord, worship Him, pray, listen, and surrender your plans, desires, timing, and decisions to Him. Acts 13:1 through 3 shows us that as believers ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly and gave divine direction.
IN ADDITION
Fast from social media, unnecessary entertainment, noise, and distractions during your fasting window unless required for work. Make space for worship, Scripture meditation, prayer, journaling, and quiet listening before the Lord. Ask the Lord to purify your heart, sharpen your spiritual hearing, remove confusion, silence every counterfeit voice, and set you apart for His purpose.
UNITY MOMENT
If you can, pause to pray at 12:00 PM local time. If that is not possible, pause at the midpoint of your fasting window and pray in agreement with today’s focus: Holy Spirit, speak clearly, set me apart for the Lord’s purpose, and align my life with the will of God.
WORSHIP SONG

SCRIPTURE AND DAILY FOCUS
Daily declaration
As I minister to the Lord and fast, the Holy Spirit speaks clearly. I am set apart for God’s purpose, and my life is aligned with His will.
Acts 13:1
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
Acts 13:2
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Acts 13:3
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
Reflection
Where is the Lord calling me to surrender my plans and seek His direction?
What distractions or voices have made it difficult for me to hear the Holy Spirit clearly?
What does it mean for me to be set apart for the Lord’s purpose in this season?
Am I willing to obey the Holy Spirit even if His instruction requires separation, sacrifice, or change?
What areas of my life need to come into deeper alignment with the will of God?
PRAYERS
Opening prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I dedicate this fast to You. I come before You with humility, reverence, and surrender. I do not want to move by my own understanding, emotions, timing, ambition, fear, or pressure. I want to minister to You, seek Your face, and hear the Holy Spirit clearly. According to Acts 13:1 through 3, as Your people ministered to You and fasted, the Holy Spirit spoke and gave direction. Lord, let this fast become a holy altar of surrender before You. Set me apart for the work You have called me to do. Purify my motives, quiet my soul, sharpen my discernment, and bring my heart into alignment with Your will. I lay down every false burden, every wrong assignment, every distraction, and every plan that did not come from You. Holy Spirit, speak clearly. I am listening. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Main prayer
Father, thank You for calling me into deeper surrender. Thank You that my life has purpose in You. I ask You to set me apart for Your will, Your work, Your timing, and Your assignment. I do not want to walk in confusion, delay, striving, comparison, or self direction. I want to be led by the Holy Spirit. Lord, remove every distraction that competes with Your voice. Remove every fear that causes me to hesitate. Remove every attachment that keeps me from obeying You fully. Remove every counterfeit assignment, relationship, opportunity, and open door that is not aligned with Your purpose for my life. Holy Spirit, speak to me with clarity. Teach me to recognize Your voice, follow Your instructions, and obey without delay. Let my spiritual ears be open. Let my heart be sensitive. Let my will be surrendered. Let my steps be ordered by the Lord. Father, align my thoughts, desires, relationships, ministry, business, family, decisions, and future with Your will. Separate me from anything that would hinder the work You have called me to do. Confirm what is from You. Expose what is not from You. Give me courage to obey Your direction and patience to wait for Your timing. I receive divine clarity. I receive holy alignment. I receive the grace to be set apart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Closing prayer
Father, I thank You for meeting me during this fast. Thank You for drawing me into stillness, prayer, worship, and surrender. Thank You for reminding me that divine direction comes from ministering to You, fasting, praying, and listening for the voice of the Holy Spirit. Lord, seal every prayer I have prayed today. Let every word You have spoken take root in my heart. Keep me from rushing ahead of You. Keep me from returning to confusion, distraction, or self direction. Continue to set me apart for Your purpose. Continue to align me with Your will. Continue to guide me by Your Spirit. I believe that You are ordering my steps, preparing my heart, and positioning me for the work You have called me to do. I surrender my life again to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
