Series
Crossing Over: Leaving the Wilderness and Entering the Promised Land
Theme
Leaving the Wilderness: Releasing the Old Season and Preparing for God’s Next
Personal intention
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal every mindset, wound, habit, relationship, fear, burden, agreement, or pattern that cannot enter your next season.
Scripture focus
Joshua 1:2, Joshua 3:5, Deuteronomy 2:3, Deuteronomy 8:2 to 5, Isaiah 43:18 to 19,
Romans 12:2, Psalm 51:10, Hebrews 12:1 to 2, and Philippians 3:13 to 14
Goal
The goal of this fast is to allow God to prepare us to leave the wilderness spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and practically.
Before Israel crossed the Jordan, the people had to accept that the old season had ended, receive new instruction,
consecrate themselves, and move forward in faith. During this fast, we are asking the Lord to expose and remove
every wilderness mindset, repeated cycle, old attachment, hidden wound, disobedience, fear, unbelief, and burden
that could hinder our movement into the next season. We are surrendering what must remain behind and asking God
to prepare us for what is ahead.
Fast window
Standard: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Alternate: midnight to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window.
Flow
Worship → Opening prayer → Repentance → Read the Scriptures → Identify what must be left behind →
Main prayer → Consecration → Listen for God’s instruction → Closing prayer.
FAST WINDOW
This corporate fast will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The standard fasting window is 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.
If needed, choose an alternate period of midnight to 12:00 PM,
12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or any continuous twelve hour window.
Use this time to seek the Lord concerning what must be healed, released, repented of, or left behind before you move into your next season.
IN ADDITION
Fast from social media, unnecessary entertainment, excess noise, gossip, complaining, negative speech,
and distractions unless required for work or urgent responsibility. Make room for worship, Scripture meditation,
repentance, honest prayer, journaling, silence, and listening for the Lord’s instruction.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and show you what cannot cross into your next season.
Do not focus only on what you want God to give you. Allow Him to reveal what must change within you.
This may include fear, unforgiveness, disappointment, unbelief, pride, old attachments, spiritual complacency,
unhealthy relationships, repeated patterns, negative thinking, delayed obedience, or wounds that still influence your decisions.
What is God asking me to leave behind?

UNITY MOMENT
If you can, pause to pray at 12:00 PM local time.
If that is not possible, pause at the midpoint of your fasting window and pray in agreement with today’s focus:
Father, remove every wilderness mindset from me. Prepare my heart for everything You have promised.
Help me release the old season so I may fully embrace the new. Let nothing hinder what You desire to accomplish in my life.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
SCRIPTURE AND DAILY FOCUS
Daily declaration
Today, I choose to leave the wilderness. I release fear, disappointment, unbelief, old attachments,
repeated cycles, and every burden God has asked me to surrender. My heart is being consecrated,
my mind is being renewed, and my faith is increasing. I will not remain where God has called me to move.
Joshua 1:2
“Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people,
unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.”
God acknowledged that one season had ended and then commanded Joshua to arise and move forward. Leaving the wilderness requires accepting what is over and responding to God’s present instruction.

Deuteronomy 2:3
“Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.”
Ask the Lord to reveal every place where you have been circling the same mountain. Repeated cycles may continue because of fear, delayed obedience, unhealthy attachments, unhealed wounds, or a refusal to move when God has already spoken.

Deuteronomy 8:2 to 5
The wilderness exposed what was in Israel’s heart and taught them dependence on God.
Reflect on what the Lord has taught you in your wilderness season. Do not despise the lessons,
but do not remain in the place of testing after God has called you forward.
Joshua 3:5
“Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
Consecration comes before crossing. Ask the Lord to purify your motives, habits, relationships, speech, thought life, priorities, and private decisions so you are prepared for what He is bringing next.

Isaiah 43:18 to 19
God instructed His people not to remain consumed with former things because He was doing something new.
Releasing the old does not mean denying what happened. It means refusing to allow the past to control your expectation,
identity, obedience, or ability to recognize the new thing God is doing.
Romans 12:2
Transformation requires the renewing of the mind. Ask the Lord to remove survival thinking, slavery thinking,
fear-based decisions, negative expectations, and every mindset formed in seasons of pain, rejection, lack, or delay.
Hebrews 12:1 to 2
Lay aside every weight and every sin that hinders progress. Some things may not appear sinful but still weigh you down.
Ask God what you must release so you can run the next part of your journey with endurance and focus.
Reflection
What has God been preparing me for during this wilderness season?
What lesson have I learned that I must carry forward?
What fear, wound, habit, or mindset must remain behind?
Where have I delayed obeying God?
What old identity no longer agrees with who God says I am?
What relationship or attachment needs to be surrendered?
What repeated cycle is God calling me to break?
What practical step of obedience should I take after this fast?
What lesson have I learned that I must carry forward?
What fear, wound, habit, or mindset must remain behind?
Where have I delayed obeying God?
What old identity no longer agrees with who God says I am?
What relationship or attachment needs to be surrendered?
What repeated cycle is God calling me to break?
What practical step of obedience should I take after this fast?
PRAYERS
Opening prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You as I begin this fast.
I thank You for preserving me through every wilderness season.
Thank You for keeping me when I was tired, confused, disappointed, afraid, and uncertain.
Thank You for Your mercy, correction, provision, protection, and faithfulness.
Lord, search my heart and cleanse me.
Forgive me for every place where I complained, doubted You, resisted Your instruction,
delayed obedience, held on to offense, acted from fear, or allowed disappointment to harden my heart.
Forgive me for every wilderness behavior that I carried longer than I should have.
Holy Spirit, reveal what cannot enter my next season.
Show me every mindset, habit, attachment, wound, relationship, agreement, and pattern that must be surrendered.
Remove everything within me that would cause me to sabotage, delay, mishandle, or fear what You are preparing.
Renew my mind. Heal my heart. Purify my motives. Strengthen my faith.
Give me courage to release what has ended and obey what You are saying now.
I consecrate this day to You.
Prepare me to leave the wilderness and follow You into the next place.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Main prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, break every wilderness cycle operating in my life.
Break the cycle of wandering, delay, stagnation, fear, unbelief, confusion, indecision, self-sabotage,
repeated disappointment, spiritual complacency, and going around the same mountain.
Deliver me from every Egypt mindset.
Remove slavery thinking, survival thinking, fear-based decisions, low expectations, and attachment to what is familiar.
Do not allow me to desire bondage simply because it feels predictable.
Teach me to think according to Your Word and not according to what I have survived.
Heal every wilderness wound.
Heal rejection, grief, betrayal, exhaustion, disappointment, trauma, abandonment, shame, and every painful memory
that still influences how I see myself, other people, and You.
Do not allow what I experienced to become my permanent identity.
Expose every hidden agreement that keeps me connected to the old season.
I renounce agreement with fear, failure, rejection, delay, hopelessness,
and the belief that nothing will ever change.
I renounce every word I have spoken against my future.
I release every person, place, habit, expectation, and relationship that You are not carrying into my next season.
Give me wisdom to know what must be repaired, forgiven, released, or left completely behind.
Remove pride, stubbornness, bitterness, offense, comparison, jealousy, rebellion, distraction,
double-mindedness, and every hidden sin that could hinder me from crossing over.
Restore my spiritual sensitivity.
Help me hear Your voice clearly, recognize Your present instruction,
and stop looking backward when You are calling me forward.
I declare that I will not keep circling the same mountain.
I will not remain trapped in repeated cycles.
I will not be controlled by fear.
I will not allow disappointment to cancel my expectation.
I will not allow the past to define my future.
Prepare my heart, home, family, ministry, business, finances, health, relationships, and future
for the next season You have ordained.
Give me discipline, maturity, humility, courage, and obedience.
Everything that cannot enter the promise must be removed.
Everything not planted by You must be uprooted.
Everything not of God must break in Jesus’ name.
I surrender the wilderness.
I receive Your healing, instruction, courage, and grace to arise and move forward.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Closing prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me during this fast.
Thank You for every place You exposed, every burden You lifted, every wound You touched,
every correction You gave, and every instruction You made clear.
I release the old season into Your hands.
I release what has ended, what disappointed me, what wounded me, and what I do not understand.
I release every attachment You have asked me to surrender.
Seal the work You have done in my heart.
Help me not to return to the mindset, behavior, relationship, habit, or cycle You have called me to leave.
Give me grace to walk in renewed thinking, obedience, courage, forgiveness, discipline, and faith.
Let my actions agree with the prayers I prayed today.
I dedicate my heart, mind, body, family, home, purpose, ministry, business, finances, relationships,
and future to You. Prepare me for the next step in this Crossing Over journey.
Cover me in the blood of Jesus.
Let no retaliation, confusion, heaviness, fear, discouragement, or spiritual residue attach itself to me.
Guard my heart and mind with Your peace.
I am leaving the wilderness.
I am not returning to the old season.
I will arise, obey, and move forward with You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
